These two knitted tops were created in the process of costume research for the piece lang by Kat Válastur. They work with a row-by-row incurring color gradient and can be thought of as a rotating pair. The layers of colour, as well as the electronically knitted relief are textile responses to the theme of the duration and the progression of time that the choreography internalises. Transferred into knitting, this is visible as accumulation and as the grooved surface structure.
