Between Sirens
After having organized the three-day symposium Take Care together with James Leadbitter, offering lectures, performances, talks, and different perspectives concerning care, Jeremy Wade followed those lines of research now with a choreographed trio work. He reacts to the erosion of care in a world that has increasingly become a drone of untenable violence, environmental degradation and grotesquely exploitative economic abstraction. Between TV show, mourning ritual and laboratory for political imagination, Wade and his fellow campaigners Olympia Bukkakis and Mmakgosi Kgabi work with queer-feminist strategies to cope with the violent present, making some space to re-feel and dream otherwise about omni-directional support amidst the global chorus of crisis.
